Ten certificate designs,
traditional and modern

Every design has a layout with your artwork photo and one without, and comes in US Letter, A4 and A5. Pick one; you can switch later without retyping.

Photo and no-photo layouts in US Letter, A4 and A5. Switch any time without retyping.

Photo and no-photo layouts

Every design is composed twice: once around an artwork photo and once without one. Remove the photo and the page reflows, so a certificate for a work you have not photographed yet never shows an empty frame.

Edition Rosette design in Gilt ivory, with an artwork photo, filled in for a sample original painting
With a photo. The artwork sits at the right in a double keyline beside the title, the edition and medium details and the statement.
Edition Rosette design in Gilt ivory, without a photo, filled in for a sample original painting
Without a photo. The details form a centered ledger around a fine center line, so the page stays balanced. Without an edition, or with a number too long to read inside the rosette (such as 1000/1000 on A5), the rosette closes into a full guilloche medallion; the details always give the full edition.

Photos are never stretched or recolored, and only cropped if you choose to. The whole artwork shows on a neutral mat, portrait or landscape. More about Edition Rosette, one of the two free designs.

Sizes and finishes

Pick the paper you print on and the finish you want to see. Your text and edition stay put when you switch.

Three paper sizes

  • US Letter 8.5 × 11 in Standard US printer paper and frames.
  • A4 210 × 297 mm Standard printer paper outside North America.
  • A5 148 × 210 mm Half-sheet size that fits packaging, folders and print sleeves.

A5 is laid out on its own, not shrunk, so the type stays readable. All ten designs work in portrait and landscape.

41 color variants

Each design comes in four or five colorways, from certificate green and banknote blue to oxblood, slate and a deep collector black. The swatches on each card show them.

Low-ink turns heavy grounds and fills into fine lines on white paper, for home printers.

Gold, silver or no metallic

The preview shows the metallic areas in gold or silver, or in the design's ink color. On paper they print as a flat color; for real foil stamping, download the foil artwork for printer review, which separates the foil areas for your printer to check.

Which design should I choose?

Start from the kind of work. Every suggestion is a starting point: you can switch designs at any time and keep everything you have typed.

Kind of work Try Why
Original paintings and drawings Sovereign, Contour A formal guilloche frame, or soft modern sweeps that curve around the photo.
Prints and limited editions Edition Rosette, Archive Ledger Both put the edition number up front: in a rosette, or large on a dark spine.
Photography Gallery Minimal The photo is shown whole and as large as the page allows, with one fine metallic line.
Ceramics, sculpture and objects Object Archive, Heritage Frame A catalog record with room for a detail view, or a warm framed heirloom page.
Botanical art and illustration Botanical Atelier Engraved olive sprays in the corners and a calm, centered column.
Collector pieces and presentation boxes Nocturne A deep ink ground with silver deco corners, plus a light low-ink version.
Design studios and product editions Studio Grid A Swiss grid, numbered rows and the certificate number in a serial lozenge.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch designs after I start?

Yes. Everything you have typed, your photo and your edition number carry over when you switch to another design or size.

Which designs are free?

All ten are free during launch. Gallery Minimal and Edition Rosette stay free forever; the other eight will be part of Studio later. See the two free-forever designs or read what Studio will include.

Do the designs work without a photo?

Yes. Each design has its own no-photo layout, so the details and statement fill the space instead of leaving an empty frame.

Can I change the colors?

Each design comes in several color variants, a gold, silver or no-metallic finish, and a low-ink version for home printers.
