In landscape the artwork image sits to the right of the text in a fine bracketed frame, on a dark neutral mat, so portrait and landscape photos both show in full. In portrait, and whenever there is no photo, the layout centers like a collector plate and the details spread into a wider grid.

What it suits
Best for: Collector presentation and premium objects.
Nocturne is the evening-wear design: a deep ink ground, silver deco corners and a small seal. It looks its best printed by a print shop on good stock and placed in a presentation box or folder, and it has a light version for printing at home.
A dark field fills the sheet, framed by nested art-deco corners and a fine keyline with stepped notches at each edge. The heading sits over a short deco divider, the details follow in an even grid, and a small seal on a fan of hairline rays anchors the foot between the signature and the certificate number.

Tip: Printing at home? Turn on low ink, or pick the Pearl variant. Both swap the dark field for white paper with dark type, so a desktop printer does not soak the sheet.

A5 is composed on its own rather than shrunk, so the type stays readable.
Finishes
Preview the metallic areas in gold, silver or no metallic (the design's ink color). The colorways pair with gold or silver by default, and you can switch.
Low ink keeps heavy fills and grounds off the page for home printers; the dark colorways switch to a light page.

How the foil version differs
The nested corners, keyline and deco seal form one simplified foil set that is the same for gold, silver or no metallic. On the dark version the field prints as ink on white stock; printing on real dark stock with white ink is a separate printer profile that is not offered yet. The light low-ink version swaps the dark field for white paper with dark type.

What sizes does Nocturne come in?
US Letter, A4 and a separately composed A5. The A5 layout is redrawn rather than shrunk, so the type stays readable.
Can I use Nocturne without a photo?
Yes. The layout centers like a collector's plate, with the details in a wider grid above the seal. Nothing is left as an empty box.
Is Nocturne free?
Yes, during launch. Later it will be one of the eight Studio designs; Gallery Minimal and Edition Rosette stay free forever. See what Studio will include.
Will the dark background use a lot of ink?
Yes, a full dark field is ink-heavy and suits a print shop. For a home printer, switch on low-ink to get the light version of the same design.
